Member meeting 2011 (Netherlands)
On 5 November the members meeting was organized in the Netherlands with participants from Brazil, Germany, England, the Netherlands, Norway and the USA present.

The number of participants decreased since 2010. A UK family who joined the meeting just for the diagnosis, was visibly impressed with the event as a whole.

A full meeting report will be published in the newsletter of january 2012.

The setup differed from the past as participants
could select sessions from a menu of parallel running events:

a)    Demonstration of our new website was lead by the website architect. His daughter has CMTC.

b)    Color analyses. Which colours fit me best? Using various scarf’s and a mirror, participants got (visual) recommendation which colours fits best and confirmation and insight in the effect of different colour sets.

c)    How do I deal with … the parallel session was led by X and her father (she has CMTC), and aimed to share personal psychological experiences with attendees. Dr. van der Schaar was also present in the room for needed support. This session was first given in Dutch and repeated in English.
After the lunch, Prof. dr. van Steensel held a talk about current genetic research.

His session was recorded on video and will be made available in the members section of our website.

In the main hall Prof. dr. Orange was available to address medical questions from around the world. Via the Internet members from around the world could attend the meeting.

Someone from the UAE took the opportunity to post a number of questions to Prof. Dr. Orange.
They could interact (see and hear) as if in the room. After sessions closed, participants had the opportunity to share and further enjoy each others company while enjoying a snack and drink.

The children were not forgotten. Their program included for example ´vilten´. The activities proof to be a repeatable success story. At the parking, the ladies leading the ´vilting´ were recognized and greeted with enthusiasm by the children!
