On 8 December we helped organise and participated in the Worldwide Candle Lighting Day in the Netherlands.
Every 2nd Sunday in December, Worldwide Candle Lighting Day, the day of the deceased child, is held. On this day, people all over the world light candles at 7 p.m. in memory of deceased children. It doesn’t matter how old the child was or how long ago they’ve passed away. After all, your child remains your child! Forever in your heart and your thoughts! The world literally becomes a little lighter for people whose child passed away. In addition, there is the realisation that you are not alone with your grief.
As far as we know, at least 6 children have died from complications of CMTC.
It was an impressive meeting with ‘live’ music and parents, siblings, grandparents and friends of deceased children.
