I share my story because somewhere, someone is hiding the very thing that helps makes them beautiful.. for the first half of my life, I did just that: I hid behind long pants and dresses, and was so incredibly scared to expose what was laying beneath them.
Right as I began to enter adulthood, I realized that I had nothing to be ashamed of – why should I apologize for something I have no control over, afterall? Furthermore, who is society to dictate what is considered beautiful or not?
Whether you have a body that is deemed conventionaly attractive or not by society, you are just as worthy of love, kindness, and praise. Please never forget that.
If I can help even one person feel seen and help them feel less shame when it comes to their appearance, then being vulnerable and sharing my story is always worth it.
And I will continue to do just that. 💜💜
