Happy Fall and, from Canada, Happy Thanksgiving! One of our local farms does a pumpkin festival every autumn, as well as a tulip festival in the spring, it’s always fun to see how they repurpose their decorations between the events. The windmills are just as cute surrounded by pumpkins as in the tulips. These past couple of weeks have been about getting ready for the Patient Advocacy training and Members’ Conference at the end of the month. The flights from the west coast of Canada take about 24 hours, including time changes. Even though it takes a while, it’s always great to see everyone and experience the community, which is sometimes hard to find with a rare disease. While social media has made it easier to connect with people around the world, there is nothing like face-to-face meetings. I cannot wait to see you all there!
