My name is Mirjam Pruis, and I live in the city of Groningen (the Netherlands) with my husband Timon and our three children. Our youngest daughter, Josephine (3 years old in 2025), has a vascular malformation with overgrowth in her leg. About a year after her birth, we came into contact with CMTC-OVM through connections. I especially value the meetings with other parents and young people who have the same type of condition. It is also very helpful to connect with specialists through the association and stay informed about various research projects. Our children love the family days — they have already made friends for life!
In daily life, I work as a citizenship teacher and internationalization coordinator in vocational education (MBO). I hope that my background in education can be of value to the association. I see social media as a tool for knowledge sharing and connection, and I hope it contributes to strengthening and expanding the wonderful network the association has built over the years.
