My name is Tari de Jong. I was born with a port-wine stain, also known as a capillary malformation, on my right arm. Since around 2017/2018, this condition has led to some sports-related issues, which eventually brought me to become a member of CMTC-OVM. It’s incredibly valuable that such an organization exists for children nowadays — I think it would have helped me a lot as well.
During my student years, I lived in Delft, where I first completed a degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management, and later in Econometrics. I now live in Gouda with my boyfriend Luke and our cat Fudge, and I work as a data scientist.
In my free time, I love being active; I participate in running events, cycling races, and have, for example, completed the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. I hope to make a meaningful contribution to the foundation and help raise awareness and knowledge about vascular conditions like mine.
