Events

We organize events several times a year that are specifically intended to bring together people with vascular malformations and their families — also known as peer contact. These events are exclusively accessible to our members and volunteers.

Peer contact refers to the interaction between people who live in similar circumstances or share the same (chronic) condition, disability, or life-changing experience. It offers the opportunity to exchange experiences, emotions, information, and practical tips in an environment of mutual understanding and without judgment.

This type of contact can be valuable for:

  1. Recognition and understanding: you feel less alone in your situation.
  2. Emotional support: you can talk to people who truly understand what you are going through.
  3. Practical information: you can learn from others’ experiences, for example regarding treatments.
  4. Empowerment: sharing experiences can boost self-confidence and strengthen your sense of control.
