This term is used for abnormalities that may be benign or malignant. It is blood vessel tumors that fall between hemangiomas (benign blood vessel growths) and angio sarcoma (malignant blood vessel growths). They can also occur in the body. There are several forms, one often seen in children (if you already see, because it is rare) is the Kaposiform hemangio-endothelioom. The Kasabach-Merritt syndrome (large deviations may be problems of platelets and thereby provide clotting problems) may also occur with hemangio-endotheliomen.

The treatment varies, depending on the place, size and any spread of the deviation. Often one deals with radiology, chemotherapy or removal by a surgeon.
