Do you want to become a patient advocate?

A challenging role with even possible reward!

One of our most important core activities is patient advocacy.

We do our best to help our (international) members in all kinds of ways and to provide them with information. Unfortunately, as a Dutch organization, we cannot offer local support to patients, families and healthcare providers in all countries.

This can be arranged by people who live in that country, know the language and culture, make contacts, etc. They can then refer these people to local specialists (doctors) and hospitals or to our organization in the Netherlands for specific questions or support. These individuals are our “eyes, ears and mouth” in that particular country and we call this role “patient advocate”.

We have started a project that mainly aims to train patient advocates. This training will take place in the Netherlands in combination with our worldwide member conference in October 2021. We pay travel and accommodation costs and training!
